Title: Haiku Rolls
Title: 'CONSUMERISM' /Impa (From Set) by Rev.Bola
_
'Consuming Mother Earth'
1.
Warm compassionate
speech bankrolling elections
relegating care.
2.
Taxman promises help
ground-shaking expectations
and freely worn helms.
3.
In a world confused
many fail to ask Big Bro'
how much per hour?
4.
A slow, raspberry
smiling fat, sagging pink
ragamuffin moans.
5.
'Ninety-five cents gone
resistance is futile
So more caffeine, please!'
6.
The snide sneaky casks
romp on, squelching earth
blindly squandering harvests.

Three rings for the elves
Seven for the groovy dwarfs
Nine for mortal men.

--------------------------------------------------
Greyish black
blue indiscreet eyes
laughing, calm, smooth.

A tissue of lies
bubble cloud, air and water mixed
with funny handwriting.

'Why Christ Came'
Christ was born,
Our souls to warn
With, happiness, boldness and daring
Not hatred, coldness and fearing.
He invites our capacity
For faith and audacity
To care for the masses
From all social classes
We must stand up, and fight off
This great parasite, of humanity,
That sponges on all, with no right.
The Earth is our home
And we cannot condone
Abuse, which will lead to catastrophe.
The Apocalypse draws nearer
With each passing day,
As routines of our lives
Fall in blind disarray.
Let's not look, with bewilderment
But face our predicament
By pursuing a more wholesome way.
With urgent compassion
Christ calls, in a fashion
That we all, might respond and obey
The Great Light, which He came to portray.
My sisters, my bothers
My fathers, my mothers
Its time, we all joined hands, to pray
For God's, intervention today.

_'Turn of the Time – into 2012'
_Time is with us
And we live in it
Now time has come
To turn again
As our calendars have decided
An end and a beginning have come together
It’s time for a New Year again
So let us people come together
It’s time for Renewal again
One year is being succeeded by another
One set of 365 days
Is being succeeded by the next
Except that this year there’s an extra day
We have 366 days to say good morning to
What a leap!
A leap year, a light year
Days full of light
Making minds and souls full
Of enlightenment
2012 it is this time
Ancient cultures and calendars all over the world predict
That this is a special one
Aztecs, Dogon, Hindus, Hopi, Zulus
And many others
Predict a special concoction of days
Manifesting to us in transformative ways
Yet these same or other cultures
Have other ways of determining the time
When ends and beginnings come together
Those of us who count two thousand and a dozen years
Disciples of destiny or otherwise
Imagine
An end and a beginning have come together now
In our conception of time
The year has turned
And now the year is here
With us
It, this year, is with us
And we live in it
Because it’s time
It’s Our Time.
